A fantastic Fiero Supercharged 3800 SC 5 Speed Getrag swap opportunity
I bought this Fiero 84 with an almost completed swap to swap my own T-Top car but ended up finding another 88 with a 3800 SC installed already. This 84 is also a good low mileage car with very little rust so it would provide a perfect opportunity just to finish or move over to another car. If you see the parts summary the parts you need cost over 3,000 alone from West Coast fieros for example. Add to that that you in this case also get the Getrag and a low milage 3800 SC with some essential upgrades + a complete car in good condition.
Email me or call me on 305 942-8940 – Car is in North Florida

My mechanic would also consider completing the swap or moving it to another vehicle at an affordable price.

Description of power package (from the original builder of the package except for comments with*)
An completed, running, 3800 swap. The engine runs like a scalded dog, This engine was in an '88 GT for about a year, and then was put into an '86 GT. To put it into the '86GT, I built an adapter plate for the the front mount. This means that it will bolt into either an '88 cradle or the pre 88 cradle, all that needs to be done is unbolt the adapter plate.
So what's included?
- *Engine was never modified except for the throttle body
- 1997 Bonneville 3.8 SSEI Engine (Purchased with 27,000 miles - I guesstimate it now has about 35,000. Bonneville was a rear impact car)
- 2000 Grand Prix Throttle Body
- Getrag 282 5 Speed + Slave Cylinder
- Camaro Flywheel; Machined to .840"
- Spec Stage III Clutch
- Spintech 333 Split Case w/ 3 inch mandrel bends in, 2.5 mandrels out
- 1989 Turbo 3.8 Trans Am Fuel Pump
- Tuned 3247 Computer + Moats G4 Adapter + 27SF512 Prom (*comes with these programs; slightly modified for stock pulley (installed), 3.4 program and 3.2 pulley with XP Cam and headers)
- Completely Plug and Play Wiring Harness
- GM Aluminum Intake Gaskets #89017825 (Very important, also very expensive)
- New Supercharger Gasket + "Yellow" Coolant O-Rings
- EGR Delete
- Autolite 104 Sparkplugs
- MSD 8mm Plug Wires
- WCF Front Poly Urethane Mount
- Trunk Wall Mounted Coils
- Stainless Steel Quick Disconnect Lines
- Brand New CS144 Alternator (Low Mount)
- Conical Air Filter
- Most Coolant Hoses

Description of Car from whom I bought it from (except for comments with*)
Fiero 84 SE with 85,000 or so original miles, white with tan interior. *Car has as far as we can tell never been in any accident but has a rebuilt title, the person I bought it from said the guy he bought it from told him it had a smaller front impact but that there was no structural damage, anyway we cannot see any sign of repair. *Interior needs headliner and new cover on driver’s seat + some smaller items. Very presentable car all stock except for Z24 rims. The original motor lost oil pressure and knocked so I bought a really nice 3800 Bonneville engine and 5 speed trans. I have since installed it but it's the small stuff that is killing my time.

Before the swap I sorted out the brakes, including new parking brake lever. It drove very well until the original engine died, everything worked as it should, with the exception of the temp gauge. Sunroof has new hardware.
The current status is that the engine is in, cradle mounted, heater plumbing done, one radiator hose done, fuel lines re-routed, wiring connected. I have installed the 5 speed shifter and connected one cable. The other cable doesn't have a ball end so it needs some creative thinking to make work, or simply replace the cable. I have figured out the VSS and reverse light wiring, but haven't spliced anything yet. I have the fuel pump but it needs to be installed.

Parts Summary if you would like to do this yourself – My Estimate

ECM complete programmed 195
Harness 750
Flywheel 295
Clutch and pressure plate 500
Engine and trans Mounts 300

Dogbone 140

I'm sure there are more people besides me that would appreciate you not advertising your car in every 3800 swap thread that's ever been on PFF.

Yeah seriously, hijacking other people's sale threads is not very polite and will liklely earn you some negs if you don't stop. It's one thing to post your own thread, even to post in someone's thread that's looking to buy, but to try to compete with what other people are selling is going overboard. Not to mention bumping all of those older threads, some of which aren't valid anymore, pushes legit threads lower on the list where people won't see them.

Stefan,
People on here tend to ban people fast. I recommend reading the posting rules for the Mall here: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/037614.html

quote
Only post in someone's thread if you have a question or remark about the item sold!
There's one thing I see happening quite a bit and it's really kinda childish. Someone posts his item for sale and soon after somebody else jumps in with a remark like: "You must be crazy. I saw [insert similar item here] for half the price you are asking!".

Right, people. A friend of mine just bought a car for $10,000. He must be nuts because I saw another car for sale the other day for only $1,000.

So unless you have a source for the exact same item, you can't really tell if the item for sale is expensive or not, now can you? So before you post your "you must be out of your mind asking that amount" reply, think twice.

Here are the theads that you have violated this rule. I have posted the links and encourage you to do the right thing. Go back to them and EDIT your post to REMOVE the violations.

I apologize for violating the rules, will not happen again. I was more targeting people that wanted to buy or referred to some ad they had seen and if I posted in somebodys sales thread my apologies again. (Could I remove such a posting?)
Thank you

Thanks. I hate to see a new member banned... And welcome to the Forum. There are good people here and hope that you stay. It would be nice for you to post your build thread in the TECH section so that people can see how you did your swap.

Now, to your question. Yes you can update it. Go back to the thread (I have the links above), find your post and click the EDIT button. Blank out what you put in there and SUBMIT CHANGES at the bottom.

I gave you a positive for going back and removing you posts from the other threads.

Do you know who the previous owner of the swap was? That description sounds familiar... I think that swap setup came from here. Found it. It was L67 selling it and he has some videos up in his thread: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/052774.html

How much are you asking for it straight up and how much for the mechanic to complete it so someone could fly down and drive it home? I know someone is thinking this...

Free bump for you.

I am asking 3,000 for the whole deal.

That is about the price if you buy all parts for a SWAP so you can say that you get, eninge, getrag and a 84 Fiero for free :-)
