Its only 4,5 inches thick so I am optimistic. or do you mean that the 20 inch length is the issue?
Length is the issue... Stock muffler is something like 14" and is a tight fit between the sway bar. Stock swaybar has a U bend in it that goes around the muffler....

I actually raised my trunk about 7" on my replica so I should have plenty of room..
But . . .
How do these sound???
I have a Flowmaster 80 series for the car now. I like the deep flowmaster sound as opposed to a "raspy or fiberglass filled turbo muffler sound". I wish I had a sound file to hear it. I'd be up for trying it out.

I messaged the seller and asked how the muffler was built, as far as if it was chambered or not. Anyone got a sound file? I am curious how it sounds, I love the aggressive tone of a flowmaster

By that last pic, it looks like a "standard louvered core". I'm guessing it's just fiberglass packing.

For the Fiero anything over about 15 inches outlet to intlet is impossible to fit in the stock location. If I recall the muffler needs to be about 12 inches wide. After looking forever and a day, I found the answer here and it was the Spin-Tech 311SC. It is just a little bigger than stock, but fits nicely and with stock style pipe routing. My Spin-Tech fits into where my stock muffler was removed. If I recall the outlets were .5 inches bigger so that didn't take much fabrication and the sound is oh so sweet...

You guys are so pessimistic I built wooden dummy and I still think it’s possible to get this in there :-) I do have the WCF headers on the 3800 so the routing is fiero stock. I think they can make it with in at the top and straight out at the bottom with only a 90 to turn it rear. (instead of OEM in at the bottom and 3x90 to get outlets down, out and rear…)

My particular brand of pessimism was verified when I bought a Flowmaster for an F-Body that was incorrectly labeled at the auction. The shop tech that eventually installed the Spintech and I looked with the car on the lift and decided it was going to be too much of a PITA and then we still had to fab down to the stock pipe. The Spintech fits nicely. It doesn't rattle against anything or lay up against my trunk. It also doesn't seem to be stressing the rest of the system. Plus it looks a hell of lot better than the one eBay picture. The Spintechs can be had for under $100 and are not filled with stuff that will eventually blow out and make your sound obnoxious or bring your pretty little car to the attention of that one cop IF you keep your RPM's reasonable when idling through residential zones.

PLEASE prove me wrong! I would love to have more of an option for my exhaust... I am also working on my 3800sc exhaust that is being run in the stock location. Although I am using 3" pipe; a tad bit harder to run then the 2" stock But please do not think your a pioneer here. I am sure others have tried before you

I finally got a reply back from the seller of these muffler and he said they are chambered with no packing. I would like to see one of these go into a Fiero. I can post the message if need be.

Pat, My son's car sounds great. Too bad this muffler is so long. His has the y-pipe with 3" exhaust all the way back too the muffler. Sorry for the delay didn't notice your reply to me. I could try and do a quick video with sound of it later if anyone likes.
