Like the title says, Need a working 5 Speed Transmission. My son trashed the 5 speed in his 86 GT. I would rather swap it out than repair the one in it. So if anyone out there has one or knows where I might find one(within Driving distance), let me know.

Yes, trying to find a good Getrag is nearly impossible these days. If your Getrag doesn't have a broken case then usually its worth repairing. Depends i guess, but at this point its easier to repair the one you have or swap to an Isuzu.

I've got an isuzu 5 speed and both shift cables for sale. The getrags are very hard to find though.

I have 2 - 4:10 4 speeds and 1 getrag 5 speed for sale. I would take 100 for the 5 speed + shipping.

Not passing, just figuring shipping/travel cost, verses another one a little closer to home. I am very greatfull to have so many options at this point. I might even have to give a + to all who have given me those options.

Another option is the 287 Getrag, I'm sure there is plenty in junkyards.

I've got a getrag 282 from a 91 z24. And I just brought home a box to get it pkgd up to ship wherever. 150 plus shipping.

ya getrag are really hard to come by in fair condition cause people love to put em behind v8s and destroy the internals...
