I've got a short somewhere in my 84 engine wiring harness where if the wires wiggle just a certain way the engine dies. I'd rather not troubleshoot the entire harness and just replace it.

Anyone got an old 84 sitting there with a harness they don't need?

4 speed, a/c (cruise or no cruise doesn't matter).

Price shipped to 77584...thanks.

- Jonathan

The 85 is different due to C500 being on the firewall on the 84, but I'll keep you in mind if an 84 doesn't materialize.

Okay I know I'm lazy, but this harness really is all hacked up and I've been having weird code 42 and stalling issues from day one which I would rather not have to deal with. I know at least one spot where the clutch release arm pushes on the harness it will stall every time.

Yeah I can go in and make more splices and clean it up a bit, but I was hoping that someone had an 84 in their back yard and could just go pull a harness. They made over 137,000 of these, and I only need one!

Anyone?

I spent an hour taping and tie wrapping the harness and now I'm only getting 11 volts with the engine running. Either I have bad connections or my alternator coincidentally just took a dump, what are the odds?
