I'm not getting out of Fiero's by any means, but the conditions in my neighborhood are forcing me to take drastic measures.
I need to sell this car as a means to move my family... Last nights spree of violence and gun shots has forced me into a corner.
Car started out life as an 88' base coupe with CJB T-Tops. It has since been converted to a 2.0T 5spd Formula. There are pictures all over the Forum of it if you search my username, and I will make an attempt at having someone post pictures for me.
Paint is 1 1/2 yrs old, black with gold glass in the clear coat. 2.0T completely rebuilt with 1500 or so miles on it, as well as the 5spd getrag.
Mr mikes seats and custom door panels and carpet.
T-tops don't leak but P-seals need to be replaced.
Car still needs some TLC but its 90% there.
$4500 or best offer. Need to sell asap. Clear title in hand.
Car is in Indianapolis, feel free to come drive it.
I would prefer that this car be purchased by a forum member so it will stay in its current condition.
My cell is 317- two three eight- 0655 Bobby

Duuuuuude, that royally SUCKS!!! If I had a way to get the money, I'd buy it off of you until you could buy it back.. Whoever buys this car is going to have one hell of a runner...
If you need someplace to keep it until it sells or whatever, I have a parking space or 2 you could use. No guarantee it'll stay parked, but you can store it here.

Edit: to add: A while back i was in Indy and had a chance to have a ride in this car. As i've said before. The smoothest riding Fiero i've ever been in. Godspeed Bobby. I know this wont be the end of your Fiero run.

The picture above is old. It currently has a CNC machined piece of black plexi-glass for the guage cluster bezel. Its very slick. I can txt or email current pictures of it.

What does it get for gas mileage? I've always thought that was a cool swap.
Here's the deal with how I clocked the gas mileage... my speedo died before I got my guage cluster, and since I couldn't find another speedo from the same year car, I changed it out with a 90's one I picked up front the junk yard. The speedo works correctly but the pigtail for the tripometer was too short to plug into it, and the Odo does weird stuff when its plugged in.
So here was how I tested the mileage. I know from living here my whole life, that its almost exaxtly 55 miles around 465 in the slow lane. I filled up the car, did 2 laps around 465, then stopped and filled it up again and did the math. I was concerned that there was an error in my math or something when I calculated 44mpg. So I did it again, and again, and again, coming up with 44mpg every time with a cruising speed of 60mph.
You all can call me a liar, or argue whatever point you want to argue, but I'm going to stand by my calculations.

A/C work? Would you feel comfortable with me driving it back to Oklahoma? Have you ever taken it to the track? What kind of HP/TQ numbers?
The car was originally equipped with a/c, but it would have required cradle modifications to install the a/c compressor on the engine and I wasn't willing to do that to an 88 cradle... and besides, its a T-top car, who needs a/c? Lol
I haven't taken it to the track and I have no idea what the hp and tq numbers ACTUALLY are, but I can speculate. By my calculations we're looking at roughly 195hp at 7psi of boost. If you turn it up to 15psi (you know I had to try it ) via the threaded rod on the wastegate, you can forget about any traction til' you hit third gear. Its pretty freakin potent. And yes, I would trust it to drive to OK.

Damn, I wish I had the money Bobby... I love that car! Good luck with the sale and the move.
Thanks Nick! I wish you had the money too! Lol
Geez its really hard to believe that picture was taken in FRAZEE MINNESOTA!!! I can't believe the junk 2.0 that was in it at the time actually made it all the way there and back. Its a shame I finally got a new rebuilt motor in it with all the goodies and now I have to sell her

Junk? I knew it was having issues when you gave me a ride in it, but it ran just fine and had decent power to it.

You're right, it wasn't really junk. It was just kinda dirty, had a slight rod knock, and felt like a dog infront of that automatic until you wound it up a bit. I really wish you could have had a ride in it with the new motor and the 5spd, but a very kind gentleman has purchased the engine swap from me and I'll be removing it from the car tomorrow evening. I think you would be very impressed with it in its current form.

I had a new black 87 Sunbird Turbo GT 5-speed coupe for a company car back in the day. That 2.0 Turbo, bone stock, would move the Sunbird really well. That little motor is way underrated. Too bad they did not offer it in the Fiero to begin with.

The car will emerge from the shop next spring with an engine swap that nobody here has ever seen
Ya'll will just have to wait and see....
Surprise! Bobby just told me what this swap was going to be, A viper V-10 twin charged with a boat propeller! Wow, why haven't I thought of that before!
