After some serious thought I've decided to get sell my kamei front end to help fund some of my other fiero projects,

I will take a picture of it off the car but this is how it looked, it has a rough texture to it and I guess its ready for paint, when its wet it gets darker, but would look 100x better painted the color of the car. It is nearly mint, the only problem is about a 1/2 inch tear on the small side piece on the drivers side. I also have all the hardware that it needs.

It would be in the buyers best interest to pick it up, this is somewhat fragile and I wouldn't feel good about shipping it.

Whenever someone has some Kamei parts for sale, there is always talk about making molds - so I'll bring it up now.
If there is enough interest (as in folks willing to put up a deposit), I would be willing to produce these (yeah I'm a glutton for punishment ).
Is there a Greyhound near you that you can take these to for shipping? It's the cheapest way & they have never damaged any parts that I have shipped or received.
EDIT: anyone have the side & rear pieces?

I have the sides but am not giving them up :P those are basically GT sideskits without the door piece, although they connect via 3 screws, super easy to install.

Anyone else? I'm discussing the possibilities in PMs - for both these front pieces & the side skirts (from someone else).
If you're interested post here so we'll all know. That's OK isn't it Fosgate?

I'm thinking somewhere around $325 - $395 for all three front pieces. It would depend on how much time & materials it takes to make them. (& how much of a PITA it is ;-)
elitopr, tbone42, ZombiePenguin, wee twisted, johnyrottin, Snowman_2_u, others; Would you be interested at that price (max $395) & willing to send a deposit to get things going? You'd have nice strong fiberglass pieces & not the crappy easy-to-break & hard-to-repair original plastic parts.
Thanks,
~ Paul

Actually I would change the smaller side pieces and have them even with the side skirts, as-is they go a few inches above the side skirts, would look much better if they were even.

I would have to agree. Do you have any photos with the side skirts on the car?
What about it guys? Interested at the above price for some quality fiberglass parts? Willing to send a deposit of, say, $100 so I can get the materials?

Although I am SUPER interested, I have to say at this moment its impossible since I just spent 500 bucks fixing my car, I cannot blow any more money on it until Spring. (Had to empty the piggy bank, and next month I STILL have$350 in plates AND insurance.. its a bad time.) I do want it, but have to wait before I can even put said deposit down. Sorry Paul... this IS the mod of my dreams, and if you make it, it will be gotten by me at some point, but i can do nothing about it now financially. So, interested? Yes. Can I do anything about it at this time? No.

Driver,

Here is a link. I found these pictures through google image search. The pictures are too big to post without resizing.

I'm interested, but sadly cannot put down a deposit yet as my finances aren't nearly stable enough for that. Someone please get Tha Driver a Kamei rear to take a mould from!

Oh, and has anyone seen the front fender deflectors in the wild?

If these parts are reproduced, I would be in..... but just a suggestion, the rear fascia needs to have two options. Single exhaust and a dual exhaust openings to satisfy both options.

Just saw this post. Hey Paul, count me in for a complete set. I agree with the side skirting mod mentioned earlier. I like the dual exhaust rear piece. Just let me know when you want the deposit and how much - ready when you are.

Well right now we're working on the front 3 pieces & maybe the side skirts. As for the mod, it won't be necessary if we get the Kamei side skirts: he was talking about the front meeting up with the stock side skirts which I won't be doing 'cause it would have to drop down on the sides instead of going up & that would look funny.
Exhaust options may be a possibility.
I have never seen the fender deflectors, but I'm thinking of making "risers" that would give the four corners more definition - similar to a Corvette. They would include fender, hood, & 1/4 panel pieces. Another teaser sneaked in...
I know what everyone means about not having the money. If I had plenty myself I'd go ahead & buy/make these without asking for deposits.

It looks like the original rear end had a spot to cut out for the exhaust.

OK, yeah, I see what your talking about with the mod (or lack of). I'm still in.
Even without any fiberglass experience I know these parts are costly to develop and produce. Deposits only make sense......say when.

So much for that idea. The OP thinks these are worth their weight in gold. While he may be right, I don't think he's going to get as much as he'd like in this economy. He won't set a price, so I have no idea what he expects from them. I've offered to make him a set in fiberglass in exchange for his originals, but he doesn't want to do that - in spite of the fact that he wants them for his race car & is afraid to run these thin plastic parts 'cause they're so easy to break. So I guess the price of these is going to be more than the $325 - $395 I estimated I could sell the 'glass parts for.
Sigh...
EDIT: I'll find a set sooner or later & once the fiberglass parts are available, I doubt the thin plastic originals will be worth much.

So I guess the price of these is going to be more than the $325 - $395 I estimated I could sell the 'glass parts for.
Sigh...
EDIT: I'll find a set sooner or later & once the fiberglass parts are available, I doubt the thin plastic originals will be worth much.

That makes me sad. I'll keep an eye out for you Paul.

What a shame. odds are that a race car will subject the parts to considerably more damage. The first tag with a retaining wall or barrier, maybe even an offcourse slide and he will have wished the parts were fiberglass. 'glass is so much easier to fix, not to mention that if the part were totally trashed he would have a source for a replacement. Some people just don't think straight....... either that or he's full of it. The parts probably aren't destined for a race car, he just wants to squeeze top dollar for an old part.

Maybe you could work something out with "Revin" in Texas, I think he has a complete kit. Or maybe you could try and make you own version. Have you ever considered making the full nose? I like the style but I have a GT with the aero nose. I think this bumpad with the spoiler looks better.

I'm still waiting for a bumper pad version in glass. The aero nose and other custom stuff is available but to the best of my knowledge, no standard bumper pad versions.
