Hello fellow Fiero enthusiasts! I am selling my 1988 Fiero Mera (serial #8113 - It is registered with Rodney Dickman's Mera Registry). I have owned the car since 1997 but have rarely driven it in the last several years. It has spent too long sitting in my garage and needs a new home.

It is not stock as several cosmetic changes have been made over the years. The car was painted red by the first owner (over the original black) and it still looks great. He also put on a full set of Ferrari badges. The wheels are the Mera original Cromodora with Ferrari center caps. The interior was replaced with the Euro Dash by Pisa (dashboard, center console, and door panels). The seats were recovered in black leather with Mr. Mike's upholstery. A Grant steering wheel was installed with a Ferrari horn button. I put on the "GTB" badge but I still have the original Mera "GTS" badge. I also have a car cover and some miscellaneous items included.

This summer I replaced the spark plugs, had the fuel injectors professionally cleaned and balanced (what a difference!), replaced the fuel pump, filters, etc. It runs great. Milage is about 57,000 as I recall (The gauges were replaced with the interior and the original interior with odometer is packed away in my storage unit). The interior needs some TLC as the trim pieces are not in place. The adhesive on the door panel upholstery has begun loosening so the door panels were removed and are not secured at the moment (need more of those little plastic clips). There are some minor paint dings on the rear deck lid caused when I took it off to get to the spark plugs. The passenger side door lock cylinder is missing. No major damage or problems, but I want you to be aware of these issues.

I love the car but it's time to make room in the garage. Feel free to e-mail or call me with any questions. It is located in northern Nevada.

$9600

Michael

So do I. I've been lurking here a little while and only wish I would have found this place years ago.

What transmission is in the car? My Mera is 8011. This is the closest production number to mine I have found.

It has the Getrag 5-speed manual.

The only time I have had my car with other Meras was at the Knotts Berry Farm Kit Car Show many years ago. I think the other two there were 1987s, so I have never seen another '88.

Mine is also a Getrag, but was built on a GT chassis with factory leather and performance sound. Where is the switch for the power mirrors mounted?

Rick,

One of my 88 Meras is 8004 and was also built on a GT platform. That is fairly close to your build number.

AZ plates--I thought I had the only Mera in Arizona.

Nice car, good price, good luck!

Is your Mera still for sale?
I may be interested if I can get past the hurdle of importing to Canada.
See my recent post regarding IMPORTING FIERO KIT CARS TO CANADA in General Fiero Chat forum.
Thanks!
