Is anyone still looking for or wanting some swap harnesses for a 3800 II NA or SC? I can do these harnesses for a 96, 97, 98-03 3800 series II engines. If you have a 96 engine or 97, I can take your harness and set it up for a newer 98-03 computer. Ill do it for 400 and Ill need your Fiero C203 and C500 connectors and fuel pump relay. Ill need your 3800 harness. If you want me to supply 3800 harness, it will be 200 more. If you need a PCM, it will be 150 more and I will supply it with a basic Fiero 3800 II tune. I will need payment befor I send your harness back. PM me if interested.

any pics of your work? I also need a pic of what the 3800 harness looks like, my engine came in pieces already and I think i have it but not sure if its all of it.
yeah sorry about the response taking so long, I work with the railroad and I got called out for a couple days. Turnaround time would be maybe a week right now. Ill be doing them for a while so no worries on waiting for taxes. I have some pics of my harness on my car but I didnt hide it much. At the time I was concerned about function. Since mine I have done a few more for some friends and I can pretty much run the wires where you want to.

What is the turn around time? (Honestly) Is the harness in a loom or shrink wraped? What is the cost for a complete harness & PCM for an 84 Fiero, 5 Speed?
I want a complete plug and play harness. I have the 1998 and a 2000 3.8 SC motor.

Mr Monk has the idea, I apologize for the lengthy wait on a responce. I was helping with some Fiero club business yesterday so I wasnt home. Here is the breakdown...
Basic 3800 II harness (your 3800 II harness and your Fiero connectors) $400
Basic 3800 II harness (I supply you a 3800 II harness and you supply Fiero connectors) add $200
Basic 3800 II harness (I supply you a 3800 II PCM) add $150
If you want me to program your PCM that came with your 3800 II harness add $100
Any PCM I supply will already have a Fiero 3800 II tune. It will be a basic tune, very light performance gains.

I forgot to mention, when I do the wire length, I make it for the computer to go behind the center glove box console. If you want it elsewhere, Ill need to know otherwise thats where youll have to mount it.

Anyone needing an actual 3800 II harness may want to talk to MulletproofMonk. I believe he might be able to supply you with a good harness to send me and do your conversion. Still taking orders for anyone who needs a complete and working 3800 Fiero harness.

The 04 Monte still has the series II only the GTP had the aseries III in 04. Just have it wired up as an 04 monte and you will be fine with a retune of the PCM or go with an 03 GTP and use the 03 GTP PCM to run that tranny properly. Dan

So basically what your saying to make it easier is to swap my PCM at a yard for an '03....instead of doing the extra tunning on the '04 PCM?
Flyboy81.....PM sent.

The 04 monte PCM will have to have the pass key removed other then that it will work fine, I suggest go with the 03 GTP PCM as an option because from what I have read on here it will control the 04 and up trannies properly and the GTP PCM's are easier to get programmed. Dan

Thanks, Dan. I've got it now.

A little advice that hopefully helps you along the way. With harnes building you can fall behind real quick if you take in too many at a time so only accept what you can build. Always get atleast half up front before you even begin building the harness as you will run into many cases where the harness is ordered but never paid for leaving you stuck with one that you now have to sell or rework it to be able to sell it. You will also get many cases where availability and cost of a harness is requested then six months or even a year later they contact you again now wanting the harness and needing it right now and not understanding why they should wait as they originally asked a long time ago. Then in a lot of cases you will get I want one, need it right away then never hear from them again. Basically pace your self as there is a large demand for quality harnesses that work properly especially once you prove you can do the work and the word of your work gets out. To make the 3800SC harness you can also use the N/A harnesses but you will need the SC style MAP sensor connector and the boost bypass solenoid connector. For the boost bypass you can use the connector on the harness that was for the power steering rack pressure sensor as it is the same style connector with just different colour wires and for the MAP sensor the series I Bonneville SSEi's one will work as well as the old turbo Sunbird GT ones will also work as they are all 2 bar MAP sensors. Putting in longer wires wont be a problem but I will want to know where you want to place your PCM. Just PM me if you have any questions.
Dan, thanks for the advice. I also wanna tell you thanks so much for all the help you gave me during the build of my Formula. It was invaluable and your work has been unmatched from what Ive seen. I do my harnesses the same method you use. I found you were right about taking them apart and starting from the ground up. It makes them much more manageable in the end.

There is some misinfomation here. The PCMs used in the 2003-2005 Series II engines are ALL the same. PCM # is 12583826 used on Monte Carlos, Impalas and Bonnevilles. Only the Grand Prix GTP had the ETC Series III computer from 04-07.

So are they soldered, shrink wrapped, taped and loomed?
My L67 harness is already stripped. Will that be a problem?

I solder, shrink wrap, tape and loom. I completely take apart the entire harness and start from the bare bottom. I like to make sure each wire has proper continuity and I also like to make sure the wire cover isnt peeled back or melted and exposing the bare wire.

So if i send my stuff to you and get it back, how plug and play is it? What fiero harness is needed, my 3800 pcm has the wires cut 2 inches from the plug, is that bad? I got this engine disasembled in a purchase with a fiero so I'm kinda not sure what I have, just piles of parts and wires. I think i remember the guy i got it from said it was from a '98 GTP. I dont know yet what trans i'm using, do I need to know this now?
