A little better pics

A side view

I also worked with a different design, it still needs some work before it's ready to produce, but I wanted to get a reaction to see if there is an interest before I spend a lot of time perfecting the final. The cover is backed with 1/8 inch foam and then the lettering is cut out and a different color is used for the backround.

A little closer view

Waiting for comments and suggestions

Rick,
Should be able to, since it will be a one off, it may be a few dollars more for the extra labor

Russ,
Please post some of your pictures on the "Real Mera in Paridise" thread. Maybe you can drum up some more business.

Any chances you could make some fastback ones with the same design? (Except with custom lettering and/or logo and different colors) I understand there will be some extra fees for the work, but I'm curious on how much it would cost aproximatelly tu have it custom and one of a kind.

I wanted to chime in, my 328 replica started life as a notchback so it has the rounded style like the Indy pattern. Russ made me one of his trunk covers........ the fit is great, it's a good quality piece. You won't be disappointed when you see it installed.

I like it. I'd take one for my Indy but if you could make one for my 3.4 DOHC in the same red and gray that would be something I would consider also. You could call it a "24 valve V6" or "Dual Twin Cam" or just "3.4 DOHC V6" I would also consider "88 Indy"

Rick - What colors are you intested in - and I hate to post on someone else's thread
TMF - Sorry - to many letters
BF - Can Do - but must keep letters to a minimum and not to complicated, I will most likely keep the letters to a block style to keep the labor cost down - currently working on "Fiero" and "Fiero GT" for the fastbacks,
Joe - thanks for the compliment - glad you satisfied
Mike - The all white Indy with raised lettering is ready to ship - the white w/red lettering has to many flaws as it is the prototype and not for sale. I'll work out the kinks next week

Since there seems to be an interest, I'll do a time/material cost and post the prices the first of the week. Thanks to all who have posted and contacted me. I appreciate the input
Reminder - I don't have internet at home as I live way out in the country and the only thing available is dial up at 22K on a good day. So I won't be able to respond until Monday

Russ,

I like the raised lettering. The cover can be black. Can you do "MERA GTS" on it. My car is a converted 88 GT not Formula so it has the square trunk opening. PM me and I can send you my email address.

As far as posting on the "Mera in Paridise thread", go ahead and say "Rick 88" asked me to. I am sure some of the guys there would like this for their cars, and have not seen your thread.

Okay, I'm going to ask some stupid questions. I can't tell how these are made/what they are made of. Could you explain how they are constructed and from what material(s)? And do they just sit in the trunk opening? Are they attached? Are they hinged? Okay, that's enough stupid questions for one post!

They are made of plywood and covered in Vinyl. I have another post related to how they are installed with a special kit I also designed. They will stay in place with the trunk open or closed - no drilling, cutting, etc. to install, but you must have the stock carpeting in place. I just added the one for the "INDY crowd" to show that I can do other covers besides the Fiero and Fiero GT.
The other thread is

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/051164.html

I should have explained that earlier. Thanks for your interest and questions

A friend of mine purchased one of Russ' trunk covers and it looks fantastic. Anyone considering
purchasing one and hasn't because they are not sure if it will look good, you are just wasting time...
Keep all you want in your trunk all the time, with this product your trunk will look clean and stylish
while concealing your cleaning products, jumper cables etc.

Don't waste any more minutes thinking about it and purchase yours today - don't get left out.

(Yes, I took broadcasting classes in college, LOL)

Was pndering it, but I would want the indy letters font to be like the indy graphic font... Indy Fiero. I saw on your front cover you got the Fiero font spot on!
