For sale - A custom swap harness for a 2.8/3.1/3.4 PR running a 7730 ECM. This is a cleaned, re-worked, no connectors broken harness that is totally plug and play.
New heat resistant tape applied.
The harness will be made for your particular application, MT, AT or whatever.
I can also convert your existing harness. I am willing to do "core charge" swaps meaning I would send you a pre-built harness and you can send me your 'core harness' within 30 days.
Also available are 7730 ECMs and custom EPROMs for the swap.
Pricing
$300 - Labor to tear down, replace connectors and convert a harness $20 - Shipping $45 - Core harness charge. Core harnesses must be complete, not cut, and have 4 or less broken connectors. $40 - Digital Cruise Wiring (requires some user wiring modifications at the location of the original cruise control under the carpet) $45 - Price for me to supply a working tested digital cruise control unit with proper throttle cable. $75 - Price to supply the 7730 ECM including 6 cylinder MEM/CAL (it still needs a EPROM) $65 - Conversion EPROM - VATS disabled, unused options disabled. Available only for 2.8 stock tunes. Custom tunes not available.

Do you have a picture of a finished 2.8 to 3.4 harness to judge the quality of the work. I'm interested in one for a 3.4 with automatic. I have the harness core to send.

So its really not that hard to change out? I always wanted to do the 7730 swap for the improvements, but was concerned about how hard it was to remove the old harness. My current ecm is usually well behaved but it does enjoy a good idle surge every now and again.

GM MEM/CALs have the PROM soldered in place. My socketed MEM/CAL allows you to use a programmed PROM without needing the adapter. The socket is a standard PROM socket. With the socketed MEM/CAL you can use the stock 27C256 chip , the 27C512 or the SST 27SF512
V6 MEM/CAL - The knock board (the half of the MEM/CAL that isn't the PROM) needs to be matched up with the knock sensors of your engine. V8 7730 MEM/CALs use a different knock board
---
27C256 - The stock chip in the MEM/CAL. Erases under a UV light. 27C512 - A larger PROM that will work in place of the 27C256. When programmed, the data needs to be placed in the upper half of the PROM. The chip erases under a UV light. SST 27ST512 - The chip most programmers use to directly replace the 27C256. The chip is easier to reprogram because it is electronically erasable. Again the chip when properly programmed to replace the 27C256 has the data placed in the upper half of the chip.
Harness worked like a charm, everything was labled made hookup a breeze, thanks for this service to our community. For anybody that is wondering i ordered a 7730 harness, with DIS and digital cruise.
