Edit: this car runs great! New alternator and fuel pump have been installed!
Life is changing and I need to sell one of my 2 Fiero's. It's a tough choice but the Indy is the one to go. Here's a link to the build thread for pictures. It comes with a ton of extra parts for the restoration. I would love to see this car go to someone who will finish the restoration and understands the significance of this car. I'd like to get $1500 OBO. I'm very negotiable on price and really want to see the car finished. Let me know if you're interested and I'll answer any questions. I have the clear title for the car in hand!
Quick overview: Indy Pace car #64, Parade car #4. Yes, it was at the Indy 500 in 84! 2.5L 4 cylinder Automatic transmission. A/C, PW, PL, Cruise, Has a late model am/fm/cd player from a Grand Am. Runs ok, shifts good, drives good. Has a hooker header on it and poly front suspension.
What it comes with and what it needs: It still needs the passenger dew wipes replaced, frame rails replaced, battery tray replaced, paint job, lock kit installed, headlight motors rebuit/replaced, tires replaced, brake line repaired, alternator replaced and probably a tune up. It does run/drive/shift good, I've driven it around the neighborhood a couple times. It comes with the dew wipes, lock kit with keys, rust free frame rails, battery tray, front emblem and a new alternator.
It would need to be towed, has not been on the road for a trip (other than around the block) for a couple years. I'll also include a set of Indy decals and ribbed LED marker lights with the car. I'm sure there's more parts that I'm forgetting. Questions, comments or offers just PM, Email or reply here!
The key with this car is it is #4 at the track and was assigned to Andrew B. Lacy who was part of the Festival Commission. He is the Fella holding the Key if I remember correctly on the track of cars if anyone has seen that picture. This car is a significant Pace car being #64 of 2000 and #4 of 133 + 15 [ that showed up race day by V.I.P's] FIeros that were at the track. Sorry to see you are selling as I seen high hope from everyone who has had this car so far. Rick B

I figured I would bump this up to the top and see if anyone would be interested in the car. It just sits in the driveway. I've installed a new fuel pump, fresh fuel, alternator, belt, wipers, dew wipes on the car. It starts up and runs perfectly. I still wouldn't drive it tho due to the broken rear brake line and dry rotted tires. It comes with rust free frame rails, rust free battery tray, extra seat covers and door panels and a set of stainless steel sunroof tracks. I'd like to see someone finish the car and appreciate it more than I have time for right now.

If it wasn't so difficult to get across the border I would be very interested in restoring and keeping this one. Dan
Getting across the border with a car is nothing if any Canadians are considering buying a US car. I have done it 4 times now. It is 30 minutes out of our lives, a bit of paperwork, and it is done.
Nice car, I hope you find a buyer soon

I will second Pete on that my 2 88's are from south of the border and were a breeze to get across. In the end it was auctually easier to register my last 88 than it would a car bought in Canada; I did not have to do the stupid tax appraisal they now make you do on cars over 20 years old, they looked at the border taxes instead.
I hope this car goes to a good home, thats a sweet deal for someone, if I wasn't in a place in life where I am trying to trim the fiero herd I would be all over it myself.

Yeah there are a lot of fieros on this side of town. The Indy would need the headlight motors rebuilt to be a daily driver since they don't work. And brake lines and tires.
cool....thanks for the info. i have my 95 TransAm in the shop right now, so i have to see how much that is gonna cost first. but, if theres any left over i am in deep consider over this Indy just cuz its soo close ..........and its low number production number(#64 and #4Parade ) and they look sooo cool........and that red interior!!!! and i could go.......but i dont want to get my hopes toooooo high, much less yours
so cool i sholud know this week where i stand on the TA.......i will send you a PM for a time to check it out more closely, if thats cool??
