they are for the decklid near the rear glass in the fiero correct? cause i need a pair.. water keeps leaking through there and rusting my plugs, manifold, and ruining my belts
How do you get these off the decklids without destroying the decklid?
I asked the same question in the tech section recently, perhaps it was general fiero chat section... Basically you gotta pull the decklid first. I was told it's not at all a good idea to remove them though...I have 2 sets, need some cake bad, but will hold off on pulling mine...

I wish someone would reproduce these. While they are very beneficial to preventing manifold cracks and keeping leaves out these weather strips are 27years old so how much longer can they be expected to last?.

I have installed a few and removed a lot of these, There is absolutly no need to remove the decklid. You do have to have it half way open and go in at an angle when doing it. You can pull it is a couple minutes and install it in 5-10 minutes once you figure out the angle.

To remove the strip all you have to do is gently loosen the clip's grip on the rubber. This can be done by sliding a flat head screwdriver between the clip and rubber. Once all the clip are loose simply slide the rubber to one side of the car or the other until it clears the first clip and trunk hinge. Then slide the rubber the other direction until that side is clear and it's off. To remove the clips from the deck you simply insert a screwdriver into the leading edge of the clip, twist and pull the screwdriver away from the lid. When twisting be careful to lift the top of the clip so that it clears the small detente otherwise you can chip the lid.
Wish I had know this information was needed as I just removed a strip off a parts car not more then an hour ago and could have taken pictures.
