I'd appreciate some advise on a rear lip spoiler. Does anyone have, or heard of a product: www.aliexpress/root/rear spoiler fiero trunk splitter/ducatail deflector? As usual, the add looks really appealing, but first hand knowledge is always better.
Thanks again,
Rich

For only $40 its worth a try to see if you like it. I am a fan of small lip spoilers myself over all the wings and crap out there. My AMG Mercedes SL had a similar OEM rubber spoiler. If you dont like it, your only out $40.

Edit: I got the concept from Sourmug.

I do have something similar made by them on the lip of the front spoiler on my '87 GT. I like it. Never thought about it as a small trunk spoiler.

Two things though...

1. The adhesive is a really good 3M brand name. It will not last on waxed surfaces. Dewax and degrease, then apply. Also, to keep it fresh, I spray silicone on a rag and rub it into the rubber. It lasts a long time, and keeps it from staining.

2. The 3M tape is of the light brownish variety. I hit the edges with a black sharpie before I adhered it. This is the first attempt. On the second go around I did not want to see the tape.

I'm going to go for it. As Roger noted, I'd only be out a few $$.
Tony: Now you've got me thinking of balancing out the front with the unit you chose.
Thanks all for helping out.

Just an FYI, but it looks way better than my pics are showing. I have had no issues once done correctly, and even have bent it backwards on a parking block with no ill effects.

Post pics of it on the trunk. I am keeping my spoiler setup, but I am willing to bet that it will look great.

Those are the only spoilers that work, too bad they don't understand how they work.

It is not about the air flow going over the wing (pointless) but it deflects the air from under the car from crawling up and over the back of the car.

Look at real race cars, they only have a aluminum strip to deflect the air, not the gay ass huge wing like hondas.
