I have to paint or dye my fabric seats.

I am familiar with spray dye/paint like DupliColor. Never used it, but that is what I was planning on. Any tips?

I have also read about using dye and then a sealer. All of the products I find for "dying and sealing" seemed to be designed for leather or vinyl seats. But the site I was reading on specifically said that the "sealer" for dyed fabric seats would be different than that used for vinyl/leather. Anyone know what they might be talking about? I can't find anything like that.

I wish I could give you more current info on this, but years ago I spray colored 2 Recaro cloth seats ( aftermarket) in a 930 Turbo Porsche to match the factory interior. Due to the value of the car, I did not want to make a mistake! As I recall, it was a spray can, one step process, and it turned out beautifully. I cannot remember what the product was, but the person who sold me the spray can said it would work well, and it did.

Different people have told me that the one-step spray advertised for fabric seats works well and does not make the fabric stiff like paint. So that is probably what I will use.

Just trying to overthink things and make them more complicated than they really are.
