Lining up with what the other branches of the armed services had already enacted--if I'm not mistaken. I'm only working from memory of another Pennock's thread.

Some well known Confederacy-themed (that's how I like to call 'em) statues and monuments have been removed from public parks or public spaces in the last few days. It's kind of a "thing" during these George Floyd-themed times of street protest-style activism and demonstrations. A monument removed under the cover or convenience of night in Birmingham, Alabama, where the mayor remarked on-air that the city of Birmingham (in his view) has no significant Confederate history, having not been incorporated as a city until after the Civil War in 1871 (if I remember the exact year.)

A very large statue of Robert E Lee in Richmond, if not already taken down, then it's been declared as about to be taken down by Virginia's governor.

A couple of fresh "reads" ...

"Winners of lawsuit prohibiting removal of Charlottesville Confederate statues cede to new state law"

quote
The winners of a lawsuit that found the Charlottesville City Council violated state code in a vote to remove a Confederate statue in 2017 have ceded to a new law that allows for monuments’ removal.

A motion to partially dissolve a permanent injunction, filed Friday in Charlottesville Circuit Court on behalf of the Monument Fund and other plaintiffs, will open the door to the removal of the city’s statues of Gens. Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson.

Precisely WHICH "Confederate Battle Flag" ??

\\

(That's just a few of many)

Flags #4 and #10 were BY FAR the most prominently carried flags in almost every civil war battle.

Flag #4 was also accompanied by the Confederate battle song.

As usual, Leftists, and those who try to appease them, know nothing about the history they attempt to erase.
