Are Fiero tail light lens still being reproduced (Page 1/2)

I saw that awhile back someone was reproducing the outer Fiero GT tail light lens. Are they still available?

Are they still being produced? No. Are they still available? Sure, they'll always be available from someone... at a price.

Yes - Keith Goodyear WAS reproducing the outer GT taillight lenses and they were the BEST option for cracked, damaged or missing units at around $450 a set.

Unfortunately, Keith Goodyear’s “Last Call” ended around May 2022.

Yes, they're 'still available' from people who bought several sets.

Keep an eye out on 'TheMall' and eBay as sets has been sold in the last months!

Also, sent a PM to member cam-a-lot as he was attempting to sell a set; perhaps he might still have the set............

I wonder why Keith does not make them still.
Vintage-Nut NOV 01, 08:43 AM
I believe he stopped because GM 'issues'....

If I recall, Keith was given a license, or a franchise or whatever it's called, to be a "GM authorized reseller" but that license came with an ending date to it. Apparently it doesn't go on forever.

I bet GM will renew a license, so the big question is HOW MUCH $$$$$ and for HOW LONG?

I can't speak for Keith but I believe he could have kept producing the undecorated lenses with no issue. It's producing the lenses with the word "Pontiac" that required licensing and royalties. His clear lens kit was available with sticker masking if you wanted to paint the "Pontiac" logo yourself.

GM and I came to a mutual decision to end production of the Fiero Fastback tail light lenses.

The rub comes when using "Pontiac", "Fiero" and the rampant horse. GM has a minimum 2 year contract

This I have/had to pay for and it is very expensive. It is an expense I have to pay whether I sell lenses or not.

The royalties I had to pay far exceeded the profit from the sales
