Part of the restoration is removing the factory stainless steel exhaust that would have outlasted the car, and replacing it with a mild steel exhaust that will rot out in 5 years.

Its been on eBay for a couple of years and the seller insists that its worth big bucks. The stooge/schill bidders are at work trying to get the price up. In reality the car is a P.O.S. Painted over front parking lights? Interior markings done with a marking pen? Only a half ass mechanic/painter/restorer works like that. I wouldn't take this car if they paid me. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. In addition to all the overpriced cars: Look at the seller's feedback. Most of the 'sold' cars went for $500, and the ones that went for ridiculous sums have feedback like 'I didn't bid on this'. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...

Does make me wonder what it would fetch on ebay without a bunch of shills. But that's mostly because I'm looking to change jobs and may need to thin out my collection soon

This thread is good because it points to an eBay auction fraud and could prevent one of our forum members from getting the shaft !

You can't be serious, you don't need 3 separate discussions and its not just this car/auction or this seller, its EVERYWHERE with old cars these days (as with many other things). If people would read the posts you wouldn't have to keep going around the same mountain over and over and over again. I investigate motor vehicle fraud on a weekly basis and explained "the basics" in one of the previous discussions HERE so there is no mystery and this is not a rare case, its common place nowadays and I could show you hundreds of examples online today. This is not about deciphering fraudulent engine VIN re-stamps forensically, swapped VINs, incorrect trim tag rivets, or wrong part numbers on a 69 Z28 to determine if its a $60k car or $90k car, its obvious condition/customization issues clearly shown in the photos provided. So if the average person can't read what's already been provided and see what's in the photos, or have basic discernment to compare this car to other Fiero's for sale on the internet, its a lost cause in my book.
PS: To put it another way, I deal with real vehicle fraud every week, difficult and challenging evaluations/investigations on expensive cars, so I scratch my head when I see knowledgeable long-term Fiero Forum members regurgitating on a POS like this with a typical classic car dealer hyperbole ad (not to mention bringing attention to it over and over). I guess its all relative depending on your perspective, because old car ads like this are the norm these days, and the more serious fraud going on is the stuff I have to deal with regularly and it gets old (just like any job). Maybe Cliff can combine all 3 threads and maybe somebody will put this car out of its misery.
