Some of it is my failue to hold the wheel straight with one hand while I shift...
Anyways... I *should* be racing tomorrow if replacing the ICM gets rid of my Code 41...

I swapped ECM, ICM and crank sensor and I could not get Code 41 to go away. Time to do some wire probing...

Well that sucks. Hopefully you can sort this out and get back to racing before the season ends.

I've mentioned it before in previous threads of yours, that this Charlie guy in the Blazer is a total dick (from what I've seen).
I'll have to watch the rest of the video now.

I can certainly understand why Kenny Kine is upset with Charlie Guardino, but I don't know if him uploading this video was the wisest thing to do (and neither was getting out of his car on the track IMO).

I know both guys. My take on the actual contact ... it looks like when he saw Charlie pull up beside him he got rattled and didn't just run his line, instead he extended the straight-line and as Charlie and everyone else was expecting a left arc into turn 3, once Kenny looked at the track he turned too sharply and his back-end got loose and they hit each other. Charlie was turning left as he should and Kenny turned to late and got loose.
Knowing each guy somewhat personally - Kenny is the ultimate troll. When you first meet him you won't like him. Once you realize he's a troll and give him his **** back with a laugh, then you can both laugh together. However, if that laugh never comes out things can get out of control. Charlie is a good guy also keeps telling me to just swap an LS4 into my car because he wants to see everyone be fast because he loves the competition. But Charlie doesn't take **** . So I totally understand why things escalated.
Kenny's worked on my car and even drove my car in 2018...where I raced him in my 4.9 Fiero, Fiero vs Fiero. So, I got no beef with Kenny, but again, when we first met - we almost did. Again, you just got to know how to take him initially because he's always looking to gas people up. Generally - a good guy but will push your buttons.
The whole actual race lasted 17 seconds start to finish. Things happen in an instant and split second decisions in tight situations will eventually lead to unintended consequences. That's why they say 'rubbing is racing'.
My goal is to beat them both on the track ... someday ...
Now to analyze how Kenny was saying he was sideways the whole time ... yes ... because that's the nature of the S10 beast. I thought what Charlie did in turn 2 was amazing. Quite a drift to maintain his speed and be pretty straight coming out of turn 2. I do also feel like he jumped the start a little. Kenny should have made that case instead of looking to fight. With the AWD cars, you have to make them push the turns to beat them. With the RWD cars you have to make them push too hard before the turns to make them over-brake and get loose. In both cases you need to be side-by-side with them to do this usually. It is what it is.[This message has been edited by lou_dias (edited 09-03-2024).]

Oh and this is why I don't bother making my car look like new again.

It seems to me that in these videos, jumping the gun happens quite often. Does whomever is in charge ever disqualify a participant for doing so at this track? If not, racers will of course continue to try and gain that (illegal) advantage. (If possible, I wish the people who shoot these videos would include the starting light in their shot at the beginning of each race.)
Lou, is this circled light the only starting light used at that track?
