It depends upon which of my Fieros I'm driving.
The white 88 notchie barely gets a second look.
The gray 4.9 fastback usually draws some comments at the gas pumps.
The maroon 88 GT gets the comments, and a bunch of thumbs-ups from people on the road.

I got flagged down by a kid on a bike who asked me to rev the engine. That's a new one for me. I probably could have revved it with more energy than I did. But he immediately had a wide grin and complimented it.
It's nice to see young kids who still like cars, and play outside on bikes.

LOL, reminds me of a lady at a gas station who thought my car was a Honda. I'm not sure why, maybe the (stock) wing fits the stereotype.

She was in a ~2000ish looking Toyota and very chatty about her mileage (100K or 200K, don't remember which). She wanted advice on going crazy with oil changes (like 2000mi). I tried to suggest just checking the level frequently instead.

Interesting, that there would be any difference.

My Fiero has been sitting at the curb while I finish up a refinishing job in the garage. One day last week, when I arrived back home from running errands, a car was sitting at the curb just down from my Fiero and the occupants flagged me down. Turned out to be a former Fiero owner who has been looking to get back in the game, hoping I was selling mine! We chatted for a bit and I encouraged him to become familiar with The Mall on Pennock's where he could find a car with history that had been taken care of. Hopefully he will be a new member soon.
