For those that have never attended this event, I thought that I'd write a firsthand experience having attended since the mid 90's.. On show day June 26th, 2021---- You arrive at the front gate at 1000 Bryn Mawr Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013. If you have preregistered and have your window sticker you drive right into the fairgrounds and will be directed to the Fiero section. If not park at the office and register there. If your car is dirty with road grime, you can go over to the washing stations where they have water hoses, but bring your own soap, rags,, shammy cloth and polish. You arrive at the Fiero section and park in the designated area for stock, modified, custom etc etc A club member will direct you where to park. Once parked you check in at the MAFOA tent and sign in.. Next you go over to the Carlisle Events office under the grandstand get your goody bag and get the dash card to place in your car. Bring the admission slip with you. MAFOA will issue an events schedule for the day, and Carlisle events will also have many activities and exhibits that were mentioned earlier in this thread. After you are free to see the many Fieros there, chat with great folks from all over and at any time you can walk around the fairgrounds, see the entire show and buy some automotive stuff if you wish. My favorite stand is the tool guy who sets up in an open trailer in the parts and things section. You can find a good variety of stuff there. A map showing where everything is should be posted on the Carlisle events website. For lunch there is a huge food court under the grandstand with lots of tables to sit at. There is so much going on that day that its not possible to be bored. The show has it all but I prefer to stay in the Fiero section most of the time. If I missed anything Jennifer, our fantastic MAFOA president should chime in with more details. At 82 +acres this is largest combined Fiero/GM event in the world. For those that are coming, see you at the show. For those thinking about it; join us, you won't be sorry and don't forget the sun screen!!

Thanks Dennis! The only correction I have is that after stopping at the MAFOA tent, you also need to visit the Carlisle productions building adjacent to our showfield near the grandstand to pick up your window placard and ballot.

Okay, ignorant question -- Mike and I might be trailering my Fiero up there. Since it's not going to be close to moving under it's own power (and isn't going to win any awards, unless there's a "press on regardless" award). Can we trailer it in, unload it, and then park Mike's truck/trailer someplace nearby, or do we need to drive back out and fight the masses in general parking, then hoof it back?

No question is ignorant. The club is very happy that you will be part of the show and does its best to accommodate all attendees. Many owners have/will trailer their cars to Carlisle. At most large cars shows that happens. Jennifer Gilbert Goss has done it so you might want to ask her but with 82 acres of fairgrounds I am sure that there is a place to park your truck and trailer. Not sure that there will be a W.I.P.category award for this show, another question for Jen. I yield the floor to Jen and I will send you her contact info in a PM. .

I can almost guarantee you can do this, however you will need to find somewhere to park the trailer. It would probably be best for you to call the actual even folks at Carlisle to find out for sure what your options are.

One item that I did not mention that attendees of the GM Nationals/ Fieros at Carlisle event are permitted to camp on the fairgounds. There is a designated area for this. If you intend to camp, contacting Carlisle Events beforehand would be best. Many of us lodge at hotels in Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill and when necessary Harrisburg that is slightly farther away. Rooms can be pretty scarce around show time but if you search you should find something. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. You can call Carlisle next week and get a trailer parking pass. It's about $20 and worth the convenience. You would pick the sticker up on your way in. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey don't doubt yourself... about 9 years ago I had a basket case 84 that had locked up brakes and looked like something straight out of the fast and furious... (ps1 built in and all) I trailered it up there unloaded it didn't clean it or anything. Only brought it so the MAFOA president could have a better showing...... well that bucket took best in class on the Carlisle judging side. It did look good I will give it that...[This message has been edited by pontiackid86 (edited 06-05-2021).]

Reminds me of something out of 'Pimp My Ride' --- "Yo dawg, we heard you like driving games, so now you can drive while you drive!"
