I got one! (another new guy post) (Page 1/1)

Just picked up an '86 2m6 SE. My son and I wanted a project car, and the Fiero was always a favorite.

84K miles,
Passed California Smog test, and is overall in really good condition except for a few issues:
Service engine Soon light is intermittent with the 32 vacuum error seems to be the only major mechanical issue
Trunk release switch doesn't work and wont even click.
Window seals/dew wipes are toast, radio/ac control bezel/face is cracked,
Elbow glove box is cracked.
Dash light bulbs need some new ones,
Windshield is just old and pitted and needs a new one.

Interior is in really good condition with only one small hole in the side of the passenger seat.

Been lurking around the forum finding similar issues/concerns and am thankful for the info here.

Congrats and welcome to the madness we call fiero life. 😁 Car looks to be in pretty good shape body wise.

Welcome to the forum. It's good to see another person local to the valley. All of the issues with your car are fairly straightforward to repair. Make sure to post plenty of pictures along the way.

Keep in touch with Ron on here as he organizes a very nice run through the wine country each year as well as the Coastal Run. Here's a link from the 2019 run:

The Vine run this year (Back in April) started in Lodi....13-15 Fieros (Depending on when you counted them...We ended up at Copperopolis- at a wonderful restaurant called Baldi's (Blackened Salmon Teriyaki).....I may have a serviceable glovebox door.

I have owned my 1985 SE V6 for 36 years (So I am certifiable)

I’ll pass on the salmon, but love the BBQ place in copper.

Is this run a regular thing? Where would I find info?
