Indy paperwork (Page 1/1)

Hello, all. I recently acquired an 11,000 mile‘84 Y82 from its original owner. Within the original pre-delivery inspection papers were a couple of interesting bits that were saved during dealer prep (photos attached). Anyone have an idea of what the “Event 39” tag means? I assume maybe it was diverted for repair? It maybe all Y82’s were diverted offline to receive Indy appointments? Just wondering if any GM folks could shed some light as to whether “Event 39” was a universal term at all plants back then?

Might contact the Pontiac Museum. They may have info on this.

Or there is a writer for POCI magazine Dimitrie Toth who worked the lines at The Pontiac line. He was not on the Fiero but knows much of the info on the plant.

He also donates time at the Pontiac Museum. He either would know or he may know someone who knows.
