No joke! What many miss is there was a Firebird Fiero Aero show car in 1969 This was a aero version of the Firebird and was a show car for two years. Fiero at that point was Fir for Firebird and ero for Aero concept this combined is Fiero. I know the John Schinella story about the late night meeting and Finding randomly the Fiero name in the Italian Dictionary. What is interesting is the name was used before with a different meaning and was still a registered own name by Pontiac when it was found by chance. Or was it Chance? Then also never came clean on the late change from Pegasus that I have ever seen clearly stated.
