What kind of ads do you see here? (Page 1/4) |

One thing I notice here on PFF, is that the ads I get are never "relevant". And with that I mean both relevant to a page's content, or relevant to me.
Every other site I visit, I either get ads for webshops I recently visited, or products I've recently Googled. And I actually like that. I'd rather see ads for cool gaming gear (since that is what I've been googling recently) than for loans or mortgages or other crap. But that is exactly the kind of random ads I see here on PFF.
Is that the same for everyone?

Mostly irrelevant? Just got this one, never been in the military.

Been getting this on almost every page today. I'm in the market for a new car but 1) Not buying in THIS market, and 2) This is the absolute opposite of what I would buy.

Depending on browser settings and plugins you many never get "good" ads. Many use Privacy Badger and more that bock many trackers even when don't have ad blockers. Many others use Brave FF etc w/ own tracker blocking things w/o adding plugins.
Even when I use Chrome and no plugins to view some sites often the ads are like selling "power savers" and "fast WiFi" scam items to view local abc news.
And even that can be tied to general location so may see ads for the area.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)

I am at the moment seeing one for Living Spaces which is furniture store in San Leandro (They are a chain but it actually said "San Leandro" (They know where I live!! Aiyeeeeeeee!)
I tend to AVOID any place that has obnoxious ads, but Living spaces is special; They have HORRIBLE customer service. I recommend never going to ANY Living Spaces store.

I get a lot of ads for electronics (the one I see currently on this page is for portable document scanners) and lingerie. Neither of which I am in the market for.
Most of the ads I see are not relevant, but I certainly don't mind looking at pictures of women in their underwear.

Seems like they change it up. Too bad you can't actually really see whatever it is they want you to click on.

Normally I don't pay attention, but since you asked, it seems that most of what I see are a result of some shopping I have done at some point in the past. Sometimes it was LONG in the past, such as the Best Buy ad I saw just a minute ago.
I don't mind them. And yes, I've seen lingerie ads too. Rather nice ads, I must say. We must be going to the same sites, lol.
