Maybe it was because of This recent post, but I initially thought you were asking about... something else.

Maybe I'll be the oddball, but I think they're awesome. I grew up in the 80's, so this would be right up my alley. I was lucky enough to be on the same team as a group of guys who brought one to a 24 Hours of LeMons race a few months ago. Sadly, I didn't get to drive it, but I crawled all around it, sat in it, etc... It was fantastic. Hoping I'll see it again and maybe get to drive it.

I've seen one or two popup for sale in the last 5 or so years. I don't mind them. On this one, I had the same style wheels on my 84 Camaro (not painted).

...

In regards to the Trojan, I mean Tojan car... I imagine there must be a helluva blind spot when looking back over one's right shoulder!

looks like someone took a 300ZX body and stretched it to fit an F3 Firebird chassis.....Not my thing. And, although the Firebird and Camaro BODYS looked ok, the interior and especially the dashes looked extremely....cheap!

I remember back in '85, my buddy and I went to look at the (Then new) IROC Z.....My buddy thought it looked great....I told him to look at the interior, and then he walked away. It looked like a cardboard mock-up...

That's what i thought too when i saw those buttresses extending allllll the way to the end. Unless those mirrors have a significant convex to them, backing up must be a pain in that thing!
