Astronomy says we will find a coded signal from outer space. Then we'll KNOW that life exists there, for coded signals aren't by chance.

Biology says there are coded genetic signals in every cell, but we KNOW that no intelligence created life.

I'm the original owner of a white ' 84 2M4 purchased Dec 10, 1983 from Pontiac. Always garaged, no rust, 3800SC, 4-wheel drifts are fun!

Do they really have them or are they just listed? If they have them and you need them just be sure they are complete and include the e-brake lever.

I never could find calipers locally at the auto parts houses so I ordered them online.
Very pleased with mine.

Far as I know, the big chain parts stores farm caliper (and probably most part) rebuilds out to a third-party, so it's hard to vouch for any one of them. The important thing is they offer a lifetime warranty. Go for it. If it fails later on, take it back and you'll then have two options:

-Since 88 calipers are rarely available, the easiest way out for them is to refund you and walk away... refuse it as best you can.

-Instead, talk them into having a brake shop rebuild it and let the store eat the cost. Saves you the labor and this way you're not stuck searching for another unicorn caliper.

I bought my four 88 calipers from O'Reilly's and had one fail about a year later... they also have the lifetime warranty, and after some back + forth it was actually the store's idea to send it for a rebuild.
