Saw the Fiero prototype parked on the street today… (Page 1/2)

Ok, it actually WASN’T, but for a split second… I was like “whuuuut?”

Am I wrong that they look similar?
fierofool MAY 20, 07:30 AM
They certainly do, but no self-respecting Fiero owner would ever install a fart can muffler on their car. I can't identify the car. What is it?

Nissan 240SX.

You've got a good eye. I own a JDM, RHD vehicle, and I couldn't even tell.

So for that car to be registered/licensed in the US, is it at least 25 years old?

LOL I was fixated on the reflection in the windshield, of that piece of paper or whatever it is.... I never noticed the wheel!

Yep, 25yr rule.

However, I may be wrong. the 180SX had pop up headlights, and the car alchemist saw does not. the tail lights seem to match the final facelift the 180SX had though. That window marker on the quarter window sure looks to say 180SX too.

Looks to be a very modified body though, so it may have had a different front end put on? Doesn't seem likely to me though.

Here's another 180SX from about the same angle

EDIT: just after posting i noticed the one alchemist saw was definitely widebodied. The offset on the rear wheels tipped me off, and now i can see the flared rear fender, and the makes sense with the vent on the front fender.

In Canada it's 10 years. We get all the good ones.
