He's not exactly kind, and surprisingly incorrect about a few things, but it's nice to see his take.

This guy is pretending to be an expert, and SO much info is wrong. He reminds me of those loser old guys that come up to people at car shows and start making up stuff about whatever car they see to the car's owner, and insists the owner is wrong because he just pulled that fact out of his ass and nobody can tell him otherwise.
Here's the comment I posted, he'll probably delete it.
1:14 The 2m4 sticker was used 84, 85, and 86 model years. 2m6 was also a sticker used on the non-GT cars that had a V6. GT cars had a 'Fiero GT' sticker. Not even all 84's had a 2m4 sticker: 84 Indy pace cars had an 'Indy Fiero' sticker.
"One in 508 Fieros caught fire" Try a total of about 300, or 0.1% of the 370,000 produced.
The V6 spark plugs can be changed in the car without dropping the engine, it's easier if you remove the decklid.
7:20 That's not even a GM stereo.
8:10 There was no Fiero 4 door prototype, there WAS a 4 seater, it does still exist.

Look it is just another TV media guy that did not do his home work.
So much on what is presented anymore is not always accurate or presented correctly.
To be honest if that is all he got wrong it is an improvement over some.
Even the removing the hood to change a spark plug is not really needed if you have the correct swivel ratchet.
It could have been worse. I have seen worse. He did get more right than many.[This message has been edited by hyperv6 (edited 06-12-2022).]

Most of Steve's videos contain various minor errors or wrong facts.... Not a surprise the Fiero would contain some too.

Steve said that you could not change the front spark plugs on the Fiero V6 without dropping the cradle. He obviously did not do his homework. Also the 50 mpg EPA figure was with a stick not an auto. He also criticized the cassette deck as being unreliable-it wasn't. As for the objection from the Corvette people about a 2 seater, GM also came out with the Buick Reatta, and the Cadillac Allante and later made the Saturn ION and another Pontiac 2 seat version called the Solstice. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. I got my first V6 Fiero when I knew nothing about cars. I bought a $9.99 ratchet 20-ish piece set at K-Mart which included 1 cheap ratchet and 2 spark plug sockets. I had no trouble changing the firewall side spark plugs with just this ratchet set and nothing else (no swivel bar) without removing the decklid or anything else.
I'm not sure why Fiero owners make such a big fuss about changing the spark plugs. Years later I now have better tools including a swivel bar and it's even easier.

Regardless of the accuracy, it was nice to see a TV car guy talk about our favorite car 28 years later... Kudos

Yeah, a lot of incorrect facts. One in particular is that he said that the 5-speed wasn't available until 87, but it was 85 that they came out (at least for the 4-banger).

I have always used a swivel ratchet on mine and others. I can have them done pretty fast even rusted in.

Look this show is about a guy that goes yo a junkyard and talks on what he has found.
He is doing most of this based on Memory. Not everyone is obsessed over every model like some. Just be glad he did not set it on fire for ratings.
I could ask you to say something from memory on a Crosley and you may not get it all right.
This is a low cost no script show they they do in a couple hours with maybe 3 people. It fills time on channels that do not want to psy much for shows.
