Interesting interior shot. Looks considerably different than any of my Fieros.

Another clickbait video by someone who knows eff-all about cars. (With apologies to Rexgirl.)

First time I've ever seen that pic. Probably from an early 80s test mule, or styling buck. Notice the "double pointer" US/Metric speedo that came in the 82 Camaro Berlinetta.

Ah, that's what that weird looking gauge is. I've never noticed one quite like it before.

September '79 development interior. Until now I've only seen a black and white photo of this, looks like it came from this Hagerty article by Gary Witzenburg, who wrote the Fiero hardcover book long ago.

Well one has to use some common sense and consider the time and history.
In this era these were the best we had. Due to the lack of power handling came more into play. Todays cars handle better due to this change.
Many of the 80’s cars were faster than the 70’s and as fast as many 60’s cars.
If you look at the bone stock cars of the 60’s most were high 14 second cars to 16 seconds. Sure you could tune them faster but stock few were ZL1 Camaro like.
As for quality the 80’s was still better than the 70’s. Paint while not perfect was better than earlier cars. Many 60’s and )0’s cars had rust through by 5 years and fading paint.
This is just a video to stimulate views so the guy can make buck.
It does make some better understand how powerful cars are today.
Even my wife’s V6 SUV will out run a stick 396 Chevelle SS in the quarter mile.

First time I saw one, in a Berlinetta, I wondered what GM genius thought that would be a good idea.

Maybe you meant to say sick (as in running on seven cylinders) instead of "stick"?
I can't attest to every "stick 396 Chevelle SS", but the 4-spd '67 Chevelle SS396 that I had back in the 70's would not have lost to an SUV. No freakin' way. [This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 06-20-2022).]
