Are you good at serpentine belt cross referencing? (Page 1/2)

Here is what I need…,
Rodney’s belt / tensioner kit comes with a Dayco 5050470 serpentine belt for the Fiero V6.
I’m not a fan at all of Dayco anything.
Every hose I ever bought from this company were of low quality and poorly fitting.
I cant seem to find a Gates or Goodyear Gatorback equivalent for the Dayco version.
Anyone have a Gates or Goodyear number for the same belt?
Thanks Kit

Gates K050470

I think Goodyear sold their belt and hose business to Conti a few years back......don't know if the gaterback belt is still available as 'current production".

In the future Mr. Google is your friend for info.....dayco to gates interchange, easy.

Thanks for the lookup.
I did check Google but I didn’t find a proper cross-reference number. Guess I’m a Google “rookie”.
Hmmm, I didn’t know Goodyear went out of business. They made good stuff!

The Goodyear # is 4050470 and as listed above, new 'old stock' can be found on ebay. I just got two.

Even if you get "the right belt" by Part Number.
Length Tolerance is ± 0.5 or more even from batch to batch from same maker.

IOW Do Not think Numbers is guaranty fit and if too small may need next bigger size. More so w/ many tensioner setups that have narrow range of belt length to work.
