Heard a new one today (Page 1/1)

I guy who said he used to be a mechanic, and a tow driver, said when Fieros got towed they were known for the back window shattering, claimed it was due to frame twisting. The guy even claimed GM put out a notice about it.

This is one of the oddest stories I think I've heard about Fieros.

GM TSB have always been available thru Alldata and later AlldataDIY and never shown such a notice.
Alldata is where I and many others get/got TSB to put in whatever site/posts.

Any tow company will put Fiero and many others on a Rollback (or Flatbed w/ Crane like in Johnny English etc.) because Auto Trans cars Can't be Towed w/ driving wheels on the ground.
(Tech you Can but way limits speed and distance of tow w/o destroying the auto trans.)

Plus Metal Bumpers started to go away in the later 70's and early 80's so very few Tow Co's use "old school" tow trucks that lift one end of a vehicle. While many say "Bumper hooks" the "hooks" are actually under the car and "rubber straps" wrap around the bumper. Not even sure Landoll or Jerr-dan (Two major tow truck makers) still makes them for small vehicles.

While could get wheel lifts to lift the front, have same problem w/ RWD Vehicles so many Tow Co don't bother getting them.

You should always ask for a Rollback (or flatbed) for Fiero for those reasons. Because Some areas still use wheel lifts but you don't want them for most towing needs because have too much speed and/or distance to tow.
