I just got back from the Pontiac Nationals at Norwalk Ohio.
It is a crying shame that so few Fiero’s show up. This event is the largest Pontiac event in the world and yet we only get less than 10 Fiero’s to show up.
We even had a coupe on the race side each year.
We used to see 30 plus cars when the Cleveland Fiero’s attended but now few show up.
We have been treated well there as we normally place Fiero’s in a number of classes. It is all clean and detail and none of is this the right bolt stuff.
Ames, Pete and Andi put on a great even yet we are not showing in the numbers we should be.
It is time for the Fiero to take its place in the Pontiac hobby and start showing up at Pontiac events to where we can’t be ignored.
You want respect you have to earn it as it is not just given.
Note the event draws 600 plus drag cars and 600-700 show cars. Yet of the 5 top five awards the Fiero has claimed the top award many times. They do respect us there if you show up.

The Indian Uprising All-Pontiac show was the same weekend, last year it was the weekend after Nationals. Attendance was down (and the weather didn't help) but we had 300 Pontiacs plus 17 Fieros.

I have never understood the infighting of the Pontiac shows. They really should work together to not cross weekends.
The Pontiac Nationals are 31 years old and for about 20 plus years has been the first or second weekend in August.
Much could be gained if they did not put the events on top of one another.
