Anyone selling the wiper fix? I’m getting very sick of my wipers! Also, in case you are asking why I don’t use the Search function, it does NOT work on my IPhone. Thanks, Kit

the "kit" mostly replaces "dead" capacitors. It may work or not depending on what else problems with the delay board, wiper switch, etc. Example: @ minimum check all solder joints on the board not just iffy caps have crap solder. Many boards have burned traces or other problems and fixing that is more effort and time then most want to spend.
Think RD has/had them, maybe others. If you or someone near deals w/ Arduino etc may have same capacitors rated at 16v or higher.
Think Dorman still carries the delay board because is used on hundreds of GM models. I'm not searching dorman now.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)

Thanks Ogre. By the way, speaking of capacitors, Rodney sells (or used to sell) a capacitor kit for the phantom wipe issue. The bad news is it never worked. Not only that, it has gotten much worse over the years. My patience is about run out with this annoying little problem. There has to be someone who has come up with a real fix. Anyone? Bueller, Bueller, ?? 😀 Kit

Ok, despite not being able to “search” this forum on my phone, I went to plan B and decided to use the power of Google. I see that “Chief” sells them. Well, when their not sold out that is. Thanks all, Kit

The wiper fix is a few bucks to make. You need a 250 microfarad capacitor and a diode. Here are the parts and schematic:
And a simplified view. You can see how the 2 items will fit together side by side inside the proper size shrinkwrap.

Thanks IMSA! I looked through my parts drawers and found some 220 UF / 100 volt caps. Will these work or must I have a 250 uf cap to get the job done? As for diodes, I have some IN4004’s on hand but those are probably too small. Kit Thanks, Kit[This message has been edited by Kitskaboodle (edited 08-16-2022).]

The voltage of the capacitor can be higher but the microfarad rating should be the same for it to work correctly so I don't think a 220 will work.

Understood on the 250uf minimum requirement. Last question: can I go higher in UF? I found some 330 uf / 50v. Will this work? Thanks again! Kit[This message has been edited by Kitskaboodle (edited 08-17-2022).]

Don't sweat it. Use the 220 and test and see if it solves ur problem.
