microfiche and viewer value? (Page 1/1)

Years ago I acquired a Pontiac Dealer parts counter microfiche viewer and the flat film sheets for all years of Fiero. All of it is in very good, working condition. Of course, it is a novelty now-a-days. Looks cool in the garage!!! However, I am starting a garage remodel next month that will not allow me to keep the device. Would you Forum members help me set a sale price on it?

GM Sheets may have some value. Depends on just what you have... Full copy of 22P? Any or all of FSM? Owners Manuals?

Reader not much. They still go on Ebay often enough... Packing then Shipping this w/o damage isn't easy and cost more then likely worth. I see them at flea markets etc and often doesn't sell then thrown in trash if can before seller goes home. Often can't give them to goodwill etc.

Even tho I could use the data... Sorry but have them to use isn't great. Readers takes a lot of space to use a few times a year at best for most people. And keep away from garage, kitchens, or other places where can get dirt or worse smoke on/in them and the sheets.
If someone wants to copy actual GM doc to make a better 22P or "missing" 84 & 85 FSM PDF... Is hard to very hard to copy microfiche to computer w/ a basic reader or most "better" readers like most reader/printers. (That's ignore GM Legal & Copyright if you publish the copy...)

When people can't or won't DL pirate copy of whatever or doesn't exist to DL...
I tell many to use alldatadiy.com is short version of alldata that get data including TSB direct from GM. Get a 1 or 2 year sub and "print" a lot of pages.
is often cheaper then buying FSM of Eflay for some sections most people need like say 84 Fiero only wiring that often doesn't match any other year.

Thanks for your comments! The microfiche I have is limited to a 4 page (full set ) 22P labeled as follows:
84-88 P
Fiero
22P
dated Nov 1990

The data, when viewed on the magnifier screen, includes engineering renderings of various parts as well as the assigned part number.

Over the years, I have used the information to access part numbers as well as part locations on the vehicle.

The viewer I have is a table top model 13" wide, 19" front to back, 19" tall (requires 110v power)
