Took my Fiero in for inspection today and my biggest worry was the exhaust since it's really nothing more than rust in the shape of an exhaust covered with exhaust repair paste. Indeed, he found a bunch of leaks... 😭
The inspector said he was willing to pretend he never saw that since he realized that getting an exhaust for a 36 year old car that was never sold in Europe is next to impossible.
But it still failed inspection due to... the tires!
I had never really looked at my tires but when he showed me, the fronts were indeed in pretty bad condition... So fortunately, a new (custom made) exhaust isn't necessary for now. I ordered the cheapest tires I could find since I really just want to get the Fiero to pass inspection. Since cars older than 25 years only needs to be inspected once every two years, that at least gives me some time to save up for proper tires.

Uh No...
Find a local shop that can bend exhaust pipes. Because many exhaust shops is cheaper and faster to bend a pipe then ordering even when often can get same day.
Many Catalyst sold in your country can fit in the OE space. Proof? Most replacement Cat's sold in US aren't = shape or size to OE Fiero V6 Cat, more so 4 cyl w/ large "Pebble bed" Cat,
About the Only thing hard to find local is a muffler that fits if that is bad.

You and/or the Inspector can get big Fines and worse for that statement and "Passing" a car w/ problems.------------------
