Cool Fiero power window switch replacement? (Page 1/1)

Saw this on FB.

Though designed for Firebird/Camero, there is a Fiero owner who purchased one and will show it soon. Hopefully it does work in the Fiero.

Fiero and many other PW switches have direct power to the motors going thru them.

That's why the switches burn no mater what else is wrong if anything is iffy w/ PW doors.

Many current car models still use same crap setup because keeps Bean Counters happy. While Many others use Relays or BCM controlling PW and more to stop burning out switches.

That's why RD offer Relay sets but directions to install are have problems. Should be moved to each A pillar not next to OE switches.
With that or other Relays you can use nearly any switches to control the PW because only handles milli to micro amps to turn on the relays.

Can use MOSFET and other things to replace mech relays that draws way less power to turn on.
Can add "Ardiuno" to control them too....

So buying a "kit" like above is just a quick wallet drain to nubes w/o a clue.
Worse said adds Auto Up/Down... Likely does not control/monitor amps when motor(s) going up and that can cause fatal problems for kids etc. same way as power garages doors closing w/o break beam and other limit switches.

I have been using a relay setup for 15 years. 4 relays and 4 switches for under $50. Could also use 2 3pole switches. Switches can be any style you like as the load current goes through the relays. Recently I also replaced the light switches for a relay setup, everything works faster and better. Windows move fast and headlights pop-up immediately. Original switches must really soak/suck..
