Tangerine Dream rides again ! (Page 1/1)

Some might remember my Fiero project car, but likely many now will not.

Years ago I garaged / stored this car and lost interest in it. Now it has a new life and is on the road again.

My 40 year old son is now the proud new owner and that means that the car stays in the family which is very gratifying and I also get to have a hand in continuing the mods and upgrades that I started many years ago, (with the agreement and approval of the new owner of course.... but I think he trusts my judgment and advice...).

My original thread in the Construction Zone has also been updated with more new mods and pics: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/...3/HTML/000111-8.html

I'm glad to see you post this. I know you are mainly over in the O/T area so I assumed you sold the car many years ago. I'm happy to see it is still looking beautiful and is back on the road.

Thanks.

The car sat in storage for so long because I couldn't bear to sell it and I didn't know what the hell to do with it because I was never going to just give it away to a stranger. I have way too much money, sweat, blood and tears in that thing.

I had originally promised it to my oldest Grandson for his first car when he turned 16 but the ladies in the family, (his Grandmother and his mother), voted a very firm NO.
My wife and my daughter are sometimes wiser than I am on certain things, so keeping my Grandson from doing stupid things with his first car, as all teen boys tend to do, won out over me being the "cool Grandpa"....*sigh*

My son stepped up and told me that he had always wanted the car, so the rest is history, and history yet to be made.

The only problem now is that I have a whole lot of old car show trophies that I don't know what the hell to do with....

Very cool! And a very nice car.

If you've got a place to display the trophies... why not?
Be proud of your accomplishments.

That's a wonderful thing. I hope to some day be able to pass down a nice ride to my boy. It's a good thing the ladies vetoed your first choice!
