I am installing new fiero store $399.00 sail windows and one side the inner molding hang over the body panel where the window attached too.top part of the window. My question is is the inner molding adjustable. The part of of hangover it has is equal to the gap I have inside on the top of the molding. I just figured I would ask before I go and take my car apart and try not to break anything. This is the third sail window on the car. One side was stuck all the way around. The other side not so much because of the overhanging molding in the engine compartment.

I unscrewed the Philips head screw in the rear of the molding, next with the air vents off I was able get to the 3 bolts, removed the bolts, the metal part the bolts went through was removed then I was able to push down on the molding to remove it. There are 2 adjustable blocks with screws that adjust up and down. Not much help in moving the molding out. However when I put it back together I did tighten the 2 bolts while pushing the molding out and I guess it made a difference what did I learn, the molding will not go back on with the bolt clips on the piece.. the car is an erector set. Cannot wait for the new windows to be installed. I am waiting for the double stick tape to arrive, Monday. All of this a my concern so as not to loose a window. I use a hair dryer to activate the glue in the tape. It worked last time, wish me luck. Thanks for reading my car keeps you on your toes.

I installed the sail windows and did not like the tape that came with the windows so I ordered the same 3m tape I used last time. They did not fall off. Car looks great. My hair dryer trick worked great. The adhesive cures perfectly.

My question is why did know one say anything about the company making the sail panels. I have had a Memphis shades windshield on my motorcycle for 15 years has held up like new. I would like to thank Amy Allen for a great job in manufacturing such a great sail windows and motorcycle windshield too. My car will on display at caffeine and octane at Amelia Island on March 4. And yes still no pictures, sorry.

I purchase a set of the Fiero Stores GT windows and was planning on taking them to a glass shop and have them install them.
