Just wanted to give a shout out for a handy little tool that has really helped me on a few occasions on my Fiero, especially for breaking free frozen brake lines. This is one of the smaller sized Robo-grip pliers but it has impressive gripping power for its size. Thanks, Kit

In the shout out for tools I’d have to add Rodney Dickman's inner and outer dew wipe tool. such a simple design but irreplaceable! [This message has been edited by johnyrottin (edited 02-08-2023).]

Thank you very much for sharing this info with us. *whispers in your ear*"If you ever experienced my gripping power, you would be AMAZED". Now that I semi-successfully typed that lie OUT LOUD...
*blushes slightly*
Please take a moment and find that item on Amazon. Then look up how to do an affiliate link (or whatever its called).
Then post a link here so we can buy one and you can get a nickel. (or whatever you'd get for us buying one. )* *Even if we never use the thing, we appreciate you posting about it, and would like you to acquire a nickel. (or whatever you'd get for us buying one. )
----------------- At this point, its 2023. we own a very very old vehicle. and the owner's dad is very old and frail and fat and ANY tools which would help with ANYTHING would be helpful.

Can you elaborate? Our Fiero has some of that 1-2 inch "scratching" on the side windows... would that tool make replacing the root cause of that an easier process?

The scratching on the window is usually the felt pads, not the dew wipes. They get old and over the years have absorbed dust and grit.

The tool he is referring is basically the tip of a phillips screwdriver cut and welded on to a handle. That allows it to fit in the tight area of the door.

I second Rodney’s tool.
It made it much easier.

I have Robo-grip and many other locking pliers... Auto adjust for size may work for hard single things but often fails. Robo-grip Adjusting Tension is a pain & more so when only have 1 hand for any reason. Lock Jaw has easier Tension Adjust but shares same failures. https://suttontools.com/about/brands/lockjaw/ Of both of these I use LJ way more often.
Failures like want to clamp 2 things and can't hold together tight first by hand. They often start locking before pieces touch. Maybe that works if the tension is Very Tight but then often damage the parts to hold.
RD drip tool is ok if you just ignore problems in the door. IOW Replacing the strip only doesn't fix other problems like glass is often loose on the metal to move it. or other problems making the glass hard to move that's part of causing slow PW.
glass is riveted to the track and must cut it then replace w/ same or bolt and nut. While fixing that just remove the glass and replace the drip strip.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
