How’s it going guys? I just bought my first Fiero about a week ago, and I thought I’d join this forum! It’s a 1985 Sport coupe I4. I bought it for $3500. I bought it to be a driving project, and I was wondering if you guys had any advice of things I should do to the engine/drivetrain/brakes before I start daily driving it?

The great thing about the Fiero is that contrary to popular belief they arent as horrible as you might think.
-Run good oil! Don't cheap out here! -Get yourself an ALDL cable. When something goes wrong it will keep your blood pressure down.
Other wise treat it like a normal car and stay up on maintenance! Enjoy!

Get underneath to check for rust/rot. Since Fiero bodies don't rust some people don't bother to check out the frame/suspension that could be literally falling apart.
Other than that just fix what needs fixing.

Absolutely! Check the rear upper frame rails for rot before putting any time or money into a Fiero.
I just discovered that the YouTube video I normally embed to show this has become "Private". Anyway, there are plenty of other videos out there that show where the rust occurs.
An old thread of mine... At what point does frame rail rust become dangerous to the integrity of a Fiero?

Also clean out the Blower motor/resistor area - there might be leaves and/or mice nests in there...
Welcome to the madness!
