So the day before yesterday, I ordered some small stuff from RockAuto (temperature sender unit, brake kit). And it arrived today. That's 2 days. From the US. To the Netherlands. For only $15 shipping. That is just crazy.
Seriously, I'm in shock... 😯

Rock Auto is one of the ONLY places that ships to military bases / APOs... so this is pretty common for them. Are you sure it came directly from the U.S.? They have a few distribution centers... most in the U.S. of course, but they have a few in Europe also because of all the U.S. military there.

I recently had an alternator delivered within a week from them. And if you pay up front the taxes with RockAuto, UPS doesn't slap a 15€ flat charge for the paperwork. Its a win-win! But 2 days beats my 7 day delivery!------------------ "Turbo Slug" - '87 Fiero GT. 3800 turbo. - The fastest Fiero in France! @turboslugfiero https://youtu.be/c4Cu7_2OgYc

Yep. Turns out what I posted a couple of years ago applies to all international orders...
Valuable tax/duty info for Canadians who wish to order from RockAuto

I don't know how long that RockAuto has been implementing this, but I just discovered yesterday that RockAuto now collects any taxes/duty required at their end prior to shipping.
This is great news, as it eliminates all the BS fees that the private carriers love to gouge Canadians with when we buy goods online from the States. Read the following from This page...

quote | Will I need to pay duty or tax when my package is delivered?
If tax is identified by name (GST/HST in Canada, VAT in the EU, etc.) on your order, we will collect it (and any import duties, brokerage fees, and carrier shipping charges) for that package. The carrier will deliver that package with no additional charges.

It's a damn nuisance though when they overshoot and your goods end up in the next count(r)y.

Heck, I live less than 60 miles from a RockAuto distribution and it takes 3 days to get things, so you had a fantastic experience.
