I was a skeptic but I just put new side windows in and one got scratched. It had a 3 inch scratch and was deep enough my finger nail would catch it.

I bought this kit and in about an hour I was able to work the scratch out and th3 window is again perfect.

I plan to take my original windows and do the same to them to restore them.

It takes a bit of time , keep water on the glass and take it slow not to over heat the the glass and it will remove the scratches.

That's great! If you plan on doing this again, would you mind recording some video and post it on Youtube? Doesn't hafta be "pretty", but it would be beneficial. xoxo

I made mine more a paste and the water sprayed made it more liquid.

Mine was not a white s rat h but it was fingernail deep.

I was an hour to hour and a half.

It is a slow process but with the lack of good glass it may be necessary.

I used my drilll but a buffer will work too 6”.

You can metho or isopropyl glass and claybar it think it is clean then turn some white polish black.
eg Autoglym and end up with a black rag and some clean glass.

People have use many things on scratched glass. Tooth past, metal polish etc. none of these really work.

Sunday I pulled out my original glass that was scratched and I was able to restore. Both and now have extra glass.

My investment has paid off.

Make sure you take some before and after pics and post them. If you find some techniques that work well post a quick video. Always nice to see our little cars being saved!

Well I fixed the new glass and already restored the original set.

Pictures really would not show much other than what you may have now from door glass pad damage and then not being there.

The original door glass one cleaned up in 45 min. Not hard as it was still pretty good shape. Just the pad wear near the top of the glass.

The drivers door had more of that and then scratches up and down but they cleaned up fast. The pad damage I got 98 % out and I will get the last 2% yet. I spent 4 hours on that glass.

Nothing special. Just keep with the instructions. The drill I think worked faster than the orbital polisher.

Two saved side widows for spares and repaired my new glass for $60.
