So, through the years I've always wanted a Mera. Most of the time, right when I was about to line something up, life got in the way.
These days, with all the leukemia stuff, I've been looking again and wound up finding one, but, there's some questions on it.
Decklid says it's number 8065. But paint code B8590 comes up red, is that correct? Because the car itself is Black, and, I can tell it's been repainted because the mera emblems are gone, including the front fascia, and it's filled flush, no indentation. It's also got 89k miles showing, on a wonky odometer where the first few numbers don't line up - classic red flag for tampering.
Condition is nice appearance wise, but, missing at least one centercap in addition to the emblems, had the fake woodgrain appliques added to the surfaces, and a few other custom bits like the sunroof shade.
Price seems a bit high, but so is everything these days, so, also curious on input on any recent sales data anyone is aware of.
This car checks the boxes of being a running, driving car and an automatic which matters for the health issues if I were to expect to drive it much. Something just needing touch-ups and maintenance is a must right now unfortunately.
Thought about an 05-06 SSR or a 68-72 c3 roadster, but, after coming across another Mera, it's got my attention.

Being honest, I'd go for the C3 roadster. Less headache and a classic car. The Mera is still just a Fiero with all it's issues and problems so if you have any disabilities that would keep you from constant maintenance, I'd stay away from it but it's up to you.

What are they asking for it?

I haven't talked to the sellers yet, but, I've been told theyre within reason supposedly open to offers. I did get forwarded some pictures, which, by all accounts show unblemished paint, no delam around the sunroof, and.no wear to the interior including the knee-buster vents on the dash or the bolsters. Still, for what it is, I'm by no means an expert on the market.[This message has been edited by KennyC (edited 10-10-2023).]

Minor maintenance issues are OK- like needing to replace frozen ebrake cables, sensors, minor stuff. But, for example, I pulled the tomato cages from the garden and the ones around the peppers, and tossed the dead plants into the burn pile. That left me exhausted and napping.
So I know big projects like taking on body work, or pulling a cradle, swapping an engine or trans? Not in the cards right now, not by half.[This message has been edited by KennyC (edited 10-10-2023).]
