Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen one with a radio delete plate.

And the 5-speed transaxle didn't arrive until June 1986...............

Yes and no. You're referring to the 5-spd Getrag. The transmission in this duke powered '85 is the Isuzu 5-spd.

I have seen the block off before. Rare but they existed.

The check oil place was added to the console. Few were ever put on. Not exactly great for resale.

LOL Knowing some of the older relatives in my family.... That's exactly the kind of car they would have bought!

Nah, they would have gotten the 4-speed. Because it's cheaper.

That is really cool... I've literally never seen a radio delete plate. You'd think it would have mounted behind it.

The least optioned Fiero I've ever seen was a 1984 Fiero 2m4 in the junkyard that had nothing on the trunk lid, no power windows, no power door locks, no trunk release, no rear defrost, and no courtesy lights. It did have a radio, but it was an AM-only radio. The radio looked brand new, honestly... looked like it had never been used before.

It also had the manual air vent flaps... which is one of the rare times I'd seen that in the wild.

Years ago, like maybe 15-20 years ago, someone posted a picture of a radio delete panel. I thought it said Fiero on it? I've always been on the lookout for one at the junkyard.

On the contrary, it would've been more expensive to have gotten a factory 4-spd in an '85... as it would've entailed getting a 2.8 (instead of the 2.5) along with the Muncie 4-spd.
