Hey kids,
It has been quite a while since I exited the Fiero hobby. A lot has transpired since then; health finally stabilized, got divorced, sold both of my Fieros. Sold all of my parts, No longer have a shop to do repairs etc. One thing I have missed however is the friends I met along the way. From those that I met at the The Daytona Shows, Tyler Shipman Shows, The Power Tours, The Heartland Shows and lest we forget, the Kansas City Fiero gatherings. Lots of great people.
I was fortunate enough to meet dozens of PFF members when I traveled every month however, since retiring or rather changing vocations I no longer travel so I don' have that outlet. I still see occasional Fieros on the road and smile as I am reminded of the fun we had. I sold my last '87 GT to a car guy here in KC that has big plans for it but I don't think he has joined PFF yet. Maybe he will let me jump in and turn a wrench or two on his project.
I also had a few dust ups with other members on the boards here as well. It's easy to be critical of someone else when you don't have to say it to their face. Sometimes people are just jerks and I didn't want to become one of THOSE guys. I was getting close, so I moved on. Maybe I just don't have the fight in me like I used to but I'd like to think I just matured past the bullshit attitudes. No matter it's all good now and has been for years, YOU folks are keeping the dream alive!
I hope you are all still feeling the passion and keeping the hobby alive!
See you round, don't be square.........

Good to hear from you again! I still remember when you hosted dinner for the HRPT crew in 2016!

Dr. Will! Good to see you here, once again. Please don't be a stranger. (Although I know how to contact you through other channels too, it's still fun, here. )

I've got to ask... How do you do it? How do you cope with the loss? I'm heading towards the same situation myself and the thought of it is driving me nuts... I can't imagine what life would be without her... We've been together for such a long time and although she is giving me grieve from time to time, I love her so much...
So again I ask, how do you do it? How do you live without your Fiero?
(PS: Welcome back!)

Paul,
I follow your build thread over in the Construction Zone and marvel at how in the world you find time to work your magic. I no longer have a garage, nor house for that matter and the car port at my apartment complex can't be used in any way for auto maintenance so I gave the hobby up. Getting in and out of the Fiero with sufficient space isn't a big deal but given how narrow their parking spots are it proved to be quite a challenge.
After I sold the Red Bag 'O Hurt aka '88 GT LS4 I kind of lost interest. I knew I would never have the skill set, nor the time to build the car the way I envisioned in my head. The fellow I sold the car to seemed to be a good sort but immediately unfriended me on FB after I called him out for claiming he built the car himself. No question he got it fixed but...... I didn't build it either, Jon Langer and Joe Sokol did. I was just the stooge dumb enough to own a car I couldn't work on 😀 Regardless of it's quirkiness the Fiero GT is still one of the best looking fastbacks (at least from behind the hideous front bumper back) ever marketed. The design team made a statement for the ages yet those in the hobby have made it even better.
Oh, to be young again.....

Cliff,
I have never been a Pontiac, nor Chevy, nor GM, nor Ford or even a Mopar guy. I have always been a CAR guy, if it has a motor I will likely be mesmerized. I took very few photos of my cars, which is odd given I was a professional photographer for 30+ years. Most of my memories are still sharp but the friendships are what I remember most.

You wave goodbye. then...
You rub the front of yer shoe in the dirt a little, then... ya go and buy yerself another one!
That's what I did... *looks down at his shoes and slowly shrugs*
