In rebuilding my daughter's engine, I've been pursuing a number of ways that I can improve the engine to make it run more efficiently, quieter, more reliably, etc. I realize the Iron Duke is often referred to as a tractor engine, but one of the things I wanted to do (after checking out Ogre's site a few times) is upgrade to a harmonic balancer for the Iron Duke. I'm doing this while also upgrading to a serpentine belt system on my 1985.
Anyway, as some of you may know... there is an upgraded pulley that can directly replace the 1987-1988 Fiero 2.5 pulley, that includes a harmonic balancer.
The original GM part number is: 10101369
They're basically impossible to find, but DORMAN remade these for a short while, as did "DamperDudes." There was even another company that made them, which has also completely disappeared.
Well, after buying one from Summit Racing (only to be told that DORMAN will no longer produce them), and then after buying one from Amazon (in which they sent me the wrong part, and then removed the original listing when they realized they didn't have anymore), I eventually DID find an original GM one:
I bought it so fast, the internet slowed down for a second.
No sooner did I buy it, did I find this one cheaper... these were no where to be found a week ago:

Not original GM ones, but still look decent... they have 3 of them, and they're under $70 shipped... which is crazy.
