Run For The Hills # 29 for 2024 is already laid out. This year by popular request, we will be including The Tail Of The Dragon and The Cherohala Skyway. Plan your itinerary to include us on September 27-29, 2024. For most up to date information, check this website. It's easier to find here or at www.gafiero.org than on the social media platforms.

The host hotel for RFTH 29 will be the MicroTel Inn, 81 Allman Dr, Franklin, NC 28734.

Phone number for reservations is +828-349-9000 Use Georgia Fiero Club as the password for our club rates.

Rooms all have two queen beds. There are no king beds available. Room rates are $100 per night plus taxes. There are 10 rooms in our block for arrival September 27 and depart September 29. Nine are remaining at this moment. I already booked mine. If all rooms are booked at the time you make reservations, they may still offer the rates if rooms are available. Reservation cutoff date is September 1, 2024.

Our planned lunch stop is the TelliCafe in Tellico Plains, Tn.

Saturday evening dinner is at Graff's Tavern, 579 Depot St, Franklin, NC 28734. Planned dinner time is about 6:30 PM

I would love to participate but will be out of the country on the specified dates. Maybe it will work out better for me next year.

I am on my third attempt now to make reservations with the hotel. They tell me they will have to call me back but never do. Not sure why. Called again this morning. May have to have a backup plan at this point but I'll be there on the 26th!!!!!!!!!! Not missing this Tail Run!

The current forecast for the region for Friday is 80% chance of rain. However, the forecast for Saturday, the actual day of RFTH, is 30% chance of rain. The RFTH 29 is still scheduled to proceed. Rain or Shine.
