An autistic person goes to a car show. (Page 1/1)

I'm posting this video because I want to share my experience of autism, that is invisible to most people.
I went to a car show last week-end, and I had a reaction that most people wouldn't even be aware of.
I was so overwhelmed by the crowd and the noise that I couldn't speak for several seconds.
The car show was fine, but that didn't stop me from having a slight meltdown in the middle of all of it!
If you just want to see the cars, then stop the video half way through.
Cheers,
Rafe

Put the English subtitles if you need😉

Just copying my comment from there...

"There were some super cool cars there!!! I'd totally forgotten about the Mantra. We don't have them here in the U.S., but I remember reading about them years ago. They're very cool looking, similar style to the Fiero. Also, the Audi Quattro is definitely one of my favorites. And those little Renault Twingos are super cool too!"

Thanks for sharing this! Some awareness and some awesome cars, all in one video!
That Bricklin was rad. There's a few of them in town and they turn heads everywhere they go. The Mantra is awesome; I'd never seen one before and it sent me down a wikipedia rabbit hole!
Thanks

Thanks
It wasn't my intention to make a vidéo about aspergers when I set out that morning. But it just kicked in after the first hour at the meeting. I was probably tired from the previous evening as we had been to a concert. (Already overloaded by crowds..!)
The PA system at the car meet was very loud as well, and the guy on the mic just wouldn't stop talking!
I'm glad you liked the Matra. I would have bought one if I didn't get the Fiero. Probably a "Bagheera". What you saw was the "Murena" with it's 3 front seats. It was the first time I'd seen one like that too, with flared wheel arches.
And it was definitely the first time I'd ever seen a gullwing "Bricklin" - cool!!
