Hahah, I woke up really upset this morning.
In my dream, apparently I'd parked my Fiero at a custom car shop. I don't know why I did this, or if there was some intent to have my car worked on... I don't know.
In either case, when I came back to pick my car up, they'd done a ton of custom work to it. They got my car mixed up with another customer who wanted all kinds of crazy stuff done to it. When I looked at it, it had MGB tail lights installed, a 1920s Ford roadster style roof installed, and some other things which dramatically changed the car to the point that it was forever ruined.
I was totally irate... I mean really, really pissed off. They promised to fix it, but I knew it would never be the same... so I sued the shop in court for mixing up the cars, and I set ablaze my Fiero (Conan the Barbarian style, for his fallen friends) since I knew it could never be the same again and wanted to put it out of it's misery.
So, yeah... super pissed off this morning, hahaha...

Sounds exactly like that "Overhaulin" TV show, where people's cars get "borrowed" and come back totally done up custom in a design by Chip Foose. Great if that's what you like, but I always thought I'd be royally pissed if someone did that to any of my cars.

I heard about an episode of "Pimp My Ride", where a guy had an AAR Cuda that he had been planning to restore. His wife thought it would be cool to turn it over to the show, and let them "work their magic". I don't think it went well.

This sounds like an incredible story. A 1920's style Ford roadster roof, MGB taillights??. How did they do that? LOL! I'd rather not relive it... I don't have a picture because it was a dream, but someone should definitely invent that.
But yeah, it just got worse the more I looked at it. the MGB tailights were really what set me off... the tall oblong taillights were basically installed at the ends of the rear, like they are in an actual MGB, and the trunklid was smooth where the taillights were. The roadster top, I can't even remember... it was the big honkey looking top, almost like what you'd see on a WW2 jeep, and it had been installed on the Fiero. But they'd totally butchered the interior because when I looked inside the car, it looked like I was looking inside a 1940s pickup (which had a roof, until I looked outside of it). Obviously... that doesn't make sense, but it was a dream, haha...

Dreams are your mind filing away memories, trying to find the appropriate place, trying to make sense of what you have seen. In this case, your mind is trying to figure out what to make of this. The tail lights are from a '62 Mercury, but I'll bet the roof is the one you dreamed. However, "roadster" implies an open top. Roadster and roof are mutually exclusive.
No, I am not kidding.[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 06-24-2024).]

Hahah... maybe. But as far as it being a roof... like I said, the dream just got weirder. When I looked inside the car, it had a roof (like that of a pick-up truck but really tight. When I looked outside of it, it had a canvas roof like you'd find on a WW2 Jeep or a Ford T-Bucket. It really did not make sense at all... haha...
