Rear Shock Damper Bolts (Page 1/1)
jon m JUN 15, 07:59 AM
Hi - Its been a while since I have posted on here but this is my only reliable place for information so here goes.

I am going to change my Rear Shocks which have coil overs on because they are old and one is leaking - when I get home in a few days - I have kyb's prepped and ready to go in - I have a set of Camber bolts and Brake pads at the ready.
So can anyone tell the Torque Settings for the 2 Bolts that go through the bottom of the Damper and the Hub ? Plus can anyone tell me How long they are as I have plenty of M16 Nut and Bolts here at work and will change the top ones out for Galvanised ones.

Many Thanks in advance
Jon

FYI: Don't replace the bolts with "standard" hardware. Many bolts are grade 9.8 or 10.9

I believe the length is 8mm 80mm {8cm} and grade 10.9

See it on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/161952487375?

8mm is awfully short.

I just measured one- it was slightly over >>80mm<<.....I also have a pair of those "adjustment bolts" with the excentrics...they are a bit longer.

Critical thing is they need to be strong- 10.9....because they are torqued to 140 Lb/Ft.

I'm pretty sure Vintage-Nut meant 8 cm.

DAMN IT - I hate when I screw-up 'stupid' typing mistakes.....

Sorry for my mindless error and yes; 80mm or 8cm

{EDIT: I corrected my post above AND added the eBay photo for better 'clarity'}
